Las Palmas is known for a religious and folkloric festival held at the Niño Dios de las Palmas Sanctuary, where pilgrims and dancers celebrate for hours dancing the traditional Bailes Chinos, recognized by the UNESCO as an Intangible cultural heritage.

This event is held every 24th of December since 1870. Every year hundreds of tourists and locals discover the mystique of the place.
